The Insight Navigator is an AI tool. What you type is sent to an AI provider to generate a reply, so a few rules travel with it. They are short, and they matter.
Where the Navigator drafts or substantially rewrites text you take into a Council deliverable, this line travels with it:

Replace [name] with the person who reviewed the material before it is used. If AI-assisted analysis contributes substantively to a report, the methods statement should say so.
Your conversations are not stored on our servers. They live in this browser tab until you clear them, and in any transcript you download. We record who signed in and when, and how many messages were sent — never what was in them.

Bring a questionnaire for review, a methodology question, a set of results that needs an insight, or a piece of engagement design you want interrogated. The first question back will usually be about purpose — what decision the research has to inform.
